Question 1971-73 Convertible Desirability

Hello,

Given that I am newer enthusiast to the Mustang market, I was curious to hear some opinions on on how desirable any of you think a 71-73 convertible is today? Since you guys are the real experts, I want to hear your opinions.

I know the production #s for 71 and 72 are about 1/2 of the 1973, but I also do not know how many of each are still "alive." Additionally, what characteristics and/or options should I be looking for that are more desireable? Foe example, was A/C not common?

I plan on using this car as 3rd fun car that will always be garaged and out of bad weather. However, are these cars known for their tops leaking?

Thanks,
AT

1971 Mustang Convertible

I recently purchased a 1971 Mustang Convertible in great condition. I too am interested in the desireability of this vehicle. Will mustangs climb in price as the 50th anniversary approaches? Are there celebrations planned? Where will they be?
