1972 Fastback

This is a 1972 Fastback that just happens to be wearing Mach 1 badging.  I am using this Fastback here as I have had trouble finding a good 1972 Mustang Fastback that is in original condition and this car really does look quite good as you can see!

This 1972 Mustang Fastback features a 351 Cleveland 4v which has been mechanically rebuilt to better than new condition. This engine has just been freshly rebuilt, by the owner who is a Ford mechanic, bored.030 and balanced with all new internal parts, 4v quench style heads with 3 angle valve job, hi-flow valves and converted to run on unleaded gas.  The factory 3-speed transmission has been removed and replaced with a brand new Tremic3550 5spd including a new flywheel, bell housing, press and clutch plate, release and pilot bearings.  The clutch has been converted to hydraulic including a new master cylinder, slave cylinder, lines ect.  The brakes have been rebuilt with new front rotors, calipers and pads. new master cylinder, new front bearings, new rear wheel cylinders and brake hose, lines.  The suspension includes new front shocks, traction bars and subframe connectors.  The exhaust system features new headers, new steel exhaust front to back, new turbo mufflers. all custom fitted and welded.  The rear end includes new 4.11 gear set and special shim kits.  Beyond this, the car features a new radiator, new radiator hoses, new thermometer and water pump, new p/s pump, new gear box, new Edelbrock carburetor and intake (already tuned) carburetor comes with new needle and jet kit. new distributor already curved for engine, new oil pump, new alt, new alt wiring harness, new BF Goodrich radial T/A's, new fuel pump, new cap and rotor, new ignition wires, new plugs, new MSD ignition , new fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel tank removed and boiled, and more parts that were likely missed.  The body is patch and bondo free with no rust anywhere except for the trunk floor.

This car was for sale on EBAY at the time of this update.  You can click on the link to see if this car is still available or to see if the seller has another car available at this time!  I wish to thank Scott for allowing me to use his images here!
